Excellence in print since 1988

As a family-run business, The Amadeus Press has a rich history stretching back to 1988. Enjoy this brief overview, prepared by our Managing Director, Richard Clough.

The Amadeus Press was established in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in 1988 by Richard Cook and Richard Wadsworth. They had both worked in book printing and brought with them a huge amount of technical skill and knowledge. Since then The Amadeus Press name has grown from strength to strength with more clients appreciating the service and quality they receive from dealing with a friendly and solely UK based producer.

The Amadeus Press outgrew its Huddersfield site and moved to its present location in Cleckheaton in 2000, moving in with their parent company Hart & Clough Ltd, a commercial printer established in 1885. This provided Amadeus with extra flexibility, allowing them to not only continue producing books, but diversifying into magazines, journals and items such as bookmarks, catalogues and calendars. In fact anything a publisher could wish for.
